Wrestling Well Reflection Questions:
- What does the metaphor of Jesus as a spring of living water versus choosing “toilet water” symbolize? How does this metaphor connect to the speaker’s message of reclaiming worth and identity from diet culture?
- How does the story of the woman caught in adultery tie into the speaker’s emphasis on forgiveness, freedom, and the lack of condemnation in Jesus’ words? How can we apply this understanding in our own lives?
- Reflect on the dangers of judgment based on behavior or appearance, both within and outside of the church. How can we practice compassion and understanding instead of passing judgment on others?
- Why do you think there is confusion and self-punishing behaviors related to honoring God with our bodies within the church? How can we find a balance between nourishing and stewarding our bodies in a way that honors God?
- Share your thoughts on the importance of rest and spending time in the Word. How can we discern when to prioritize rest and when to engage in other activities? How does our heart posture impact our decision-making process?
